spp3 portfolio
i am now in the process of building my own online portfolio on which all my work can be uploaded too. to gain inspiration i looked at other peoples and companies portfolios. i found netdiver.net very useful in deciding what route to go down.
I wanted something clean and professional looking, but on the other hand i didnt want it to look dull and uninspiring. i found if a design is made too busy though it kind of over shadows the work its actually showcasing,
below is one of my designs which i think work very well.

as this is my online portfolio i thought i could afford to be a bit more creative and break a few of the standard rules of web design. for example, right aligning most of the text and placing the links in a list in the top left of the page.
It is quite a clean page, and the dark colors i think make it look very professional, but this is broken up by the nice patterned banner running across the top of the page. im hoping to have this site up and running by the end of easter!
